For whatever reason Kinja isn’t letting me change my name so ignore that for a while, however I have traded in the Tundra to get something a bit different.

So without further stalling, I bought (read:leased) a Kia Stinger GT2. Feel free to ask any questions. I’ve had it about two days so I’m still settling in.

Its a magnificent car... only issue I’ve had since January is that the headliner sometimes rattles over rough terrain (not hard to find in Mexico City) and the alignment is very delicate!


Otherwise, have fun! I find it quite interesting in Smart mode, how it “decides” if you’re sporty or economic or comforty.

10 months. Longest I’ve owned something is two years so the Kia might break that record since its a 36 month lease.

What was the dealer experience like? The thing that puts me off most about checking one of these out is having to go to a Kia dealer. They don’t have a stellar reputation around here.

You could make a pretext and go to a Genesis dealer instead and be charged a million billion dollars for an oil change... but you’ll be offered a nesspresso capsule coffee so... iguess it’s even?

My record is 4 years, but that was almost 20 years ago. I’m approaching three years on the Taco, which puts in firmly in 2nd place. I average 18-24 months per vehicle, but I’m slowing down.

All of them. Heated/Cooled seats, LED headlights that corner with the car, Harmon/Kardon Audio, Lane keep assist, heated wheel, 16 way power seats, Nav, Auto/Carplay, you name it.
